This is a site I created on a volunteer basis
for the South Valley Bicycle, a group I co-founded to promote and advocate
bicycling in Bakersfield and the southern San Joaquin Valley. I am a nationally
certified Bike Ed Instructor with the League of American Bicyclists, so the
site is slanted not just toward activism, but also a lot of educational information
on bicycle safety and skills. Increased work responsibilities and other priorities
have drawn me away, so the site is not as up to date as it would otherwise
be.
My current employer. I redesigned this site about
18 months ago to make it more user-friendly and to include many forms and publictions
that Girl Scout volunteers and staff commonly used. This has helped decrease
mailing and printing costs, as well as speed delivery. Combining online forms
with an e-mail list has improved internal communication. The next step? More
interactivity
Please excuse the mess! Not all
links or pages are up and running yet. Questions? Just E-mail
me.
This is the first site I ever created. It was
done nearly five years ago for my employer at that time. I wrote and designed
almost all the content, though I left before I was able to finish some portions.
They have added a few items and links to the site since I left, but most is
still as I created it. If you need quality printing, Central is a good place
to look. They are not just my former employers, but also personal friends and
good people.
